nigripes potential nest cleaning.

a few months ago i got my hands on three nigripes clowns, in which two are left. the large female has had continuous bouts of an unknown ailment, which i cant really...pinpoint. so she was off and on placed in QT while the smaller nigripes had control of the 120 gallon. when the female was just recently readded back to the tank, there were no more aggression problems between her and the smaller male. he would do his side ways body vibrations, and she was receptive by ignoring it, instead of chasing him off as she had in the past.
lately they have been spending alot of time together, with the male keeping close. yesterday i noticed the male biting aggressively on the rock at the base of a large ritteri. and today, i noticed both of them participating in this at the same spot for about 30 seconds. this should be a good sign right?

ive been feeding numerous types of foods, from pellets to flakes and frozen, and in heavy amounts and very frequently. im running my temperature around 82 to 84. salinity is a bit low at 1.023. pH 8.3.

in about two days the 120 will be getting its 50 gallon water change, which happens about every two to three months.

i hope the potential nest cleaning continues and in time i see a nice batch of orange eggs...if there are any suggestions, please offer them, and also...check out my post in the disease forum.

well nothing new to report. i havent seen any nest cleaning since i last noticed, and im almost afraid that there is too much activity in my tank for my clowns to feel comfortable. contrary to what i was expecting, my nigripes are very shy, especially the female. feeding time is visibly exciting for everyone else, but the female is very cautious before she ventures to snatch pieces to eat.

this has signaled a potential change in direction for my 120 into two seperate 50 gallon cubes, strictly for the nigripes and chrysopterus pairs. more to come on that later.

and ill get some pictures in this thread momentarily.
