Hosting Clowns 'hooked' on anemone poop

I have been feeding my RBTA silversides bi-weekly. Recently, I decided to try a slice of sutchi. The anemone took it gladly.

The day after, it pooped its usual brown stuff and the clowns gobbled it greedily. But in their frenzied feeding and they started 'tunnelling' into the mouth to get to more

It went on for a while until the anemone receded into the crevice. Took a good hour before it came out.

Does anyone have similar experience/s?

schlecht13 will become famous soon enough
I have never heard of it tunnelling into the anemones body cavity. Obviously the anemone didn't take it very well. I can only assume that there was something in the sutchi (?) that the anemone didn't digest and the clowns found it enticing.

Thanks for the reply Chris.

I should have known that sutchi might not be a good choice of food for anemone, but I can assume that the percs find it irresistable. Its back on silversides with Cyclop stuffings.

Will try them on my juveniles soon

That is the BIGGEST RBTA I have ever seen in captive aquarium LOL Usually mine splits long time before reaching that size (or I am tempted to help them one way or the other).

How long do yo have the RBTA? It must be almost 24" long :D and still have the bubbles.

Back to tunneling, my clownfish (brown saddlebacks) seems to enjoy digging into the various carpet anemone's mouth without much harm done to the anemone or the fish. I bet the anemone does not like it too much but the fish seems to feel much safer hiding INSIDE the anemone as suppose to jsut in between the tenacles LOL
